MP - What is 1 CP good for?

I've found a few things that 1 CP is useful for in Mighty Protectors.

Basic Characteristics
Durability
Energy
Inventing
Knowledge (Languages)

(model unknown)

The design team did an amazing job of making every CP invested in a BC mean something, so never any wasted points there.

Durability and Energy are a great way to round things out, and boost the character in precise ways.  Unless you've got a very specific concept, such as a character with Lightning Control or Vibratory Blast (the big PR sucks), you're generally better off buying BCs and gaining the Hit Points or Power as secondary characteristics.

Inventing in MP is great.  The creation rules are pretty simple, and the ability to recycle points is fantastic.  Inventing, combined with Arsenal, gives you insane flexibility.

Languages are a tough one.  It's cheap to give a character some fluency in one or two extra languages (and let's face it, most of the educated world knows at least two languages, often more).  If you want a character to be a real polyglot, switch to Mental Ability, instead, and call the SFX "fluent in tons of languages."

MP - Dressing BCs for the Party

In VnV, Heightened Characteristics were always in demand, as they had such a massive impact on the entire character, especially in combat.

With MP, crazy high Basic Characteristics suffer massively from “diminishing return,” except for Strength, which is a slight exception, in that your Carrying Capacity explodes quickly, but your actual Effect Dice don't.

For example, Skill bonuses are cheaper with Knowledge and Heightened Expertise than boosting a BC.
Hit Points are cheaper with Durability.
The Speed Ability is overpriced, so Movement may as well come from BCs.
Initiative?  Well, fine, Initiative is a bit of a squirrel, but that's a separate topic.
Regeneration is cheaper than Healing Rate.
Armor and Adaptation provide better save bonuses than high EN or IN, but is less reliable.
Etc., etc.

So, what do we do with Heightened BC powers?  Well, obviously, they're still so worth spending CP on, but the question here is:

Is it worth spending 20 CP on one Heightened BC?

As I mentioned in my review, one of the things I really like about MP is that the Reduced BC Weaknesses got fleshed out for more flavor.

So, by extension, we can flesh out the Heightened BC Abilities, for example:
